As the snow starts to fly in the second blizzard that will likely leave many of us New Englanders stuck inside our homes and the sky gets darker, I'm thinking about this love session with Sarah and Nick and their warmth (and thumb wars). She walked down the isle to The Clash two years ago. Thanks Nick & Sarah for letting me preserve this time in your lives.
I strive to capture how a couple really is, how they really interact with each other and how they feel. I don't go into an in-home session with canned poses or think about the "money shot". If you know me, you know I'm an introvert and care much more about the real than the superficial. Thirty years from now I want you to be looking at the images from your session and not just remember how you were and the times you had together, but feel it, relive it. What was your love like at that point in your relationship? How did her skin feel? What did he smell like? You move, you change, things change. Will you remember your favorite thing about your first home together? That's what can make photography special.
